Rental and Occupancy Rules as of June 9th, 2010

Directions:
We are located on Holiday Isle. Turn south off Highway 98 on to Gulf Shore Dr (approx. ½ mile west of Big Kahuna’s Water park). Continue for 1.5 miles and we are located on the left hand side. 502 Gulf Shore Drive, Destin FL, 32541.

Check in: Check in time is after 3pm. Due to our high standards of cleanliness, not all units may be ready for check in promptly at 3pm. We ask for your patience and recommend you have alternate plans in the event your unit is not ready at 3pm. You are welcome to use the pools or go to the beach while you wait. Our hours of operation are 8 am – 8 pm, seven days a week. If you anticipate arriving after hours, please contact us in advance to make arrangements. If you arrive after hours unexpectedly, please call us at 850-837-1000 for access to your unit.

Check out: Check out time is 10am. A late check out fee of $25 may be charged to the credit card on file if you have not vacated the unit in a timely manner. Upon your departure we ask that you run your dishwasher and take out any garbage. The unit keys need to be returned to the front desk when you depart. A $24 plus tax fee will be assessed for any keys not returned. Safe keys are $35 plus tax. For guests who depart prior to the office opening at 8 am, we ask that you leave your keys in the drop box located directly across from the front desk in the lobby.

Rates: Rates are subject to change without notice. All reservations are subject to Florida’s 11% bed tax and a non-refundable $25 processing fee. 

Age Requirement: The person making the reservation must be 25 years or older and must occupy the unit during the entire length of the reservation. The Islander is a family friendly condominium and we do not rent to singles under the age of 25 without a parent or guardian (ID may be required). Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment and will not be allowed to check in.

Payment: A minimum advance payment of $200 is required on a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) at the time the reservation is made. The remaining balance is due upon check in. In addition to the credit cards listed, The Islander accepts cashiers checks, money orders and cash. We do not accept personal checks. When you arrive, a credit card will need to be manually swiped by the staff for incidentals and any damage sustained to the unit during your stay.

Cancellation: Cancellations outside of 30 days of the arrival date will receive a refund of the advance payment, less the $25 processing fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded the advance payment. Long term, seasonal reservations must cancel by October 1st. 

Minimum Night Stays: The Islander requires a minimum 3 night stay. Reservations can be made for 1 or 2 nights but the guest will be required to pay the unit clean fee.

Housekeeping/Linen: Your unit will be cleaned before you check in. The initial supply of toilet paper (2 rolls/bathroom), bar soap (2/bath), paper towels (1 roll), dishwashing detergent (2 packs) and garbage bags (1/can) are provided. After that guests need to provide their own. The unit will also be provided with a full set of bath towels and 4 beach towels. The Islander does not provide daily maid service. Services can be arranged at an additional fee. The Islander does provide a complimentary towel exchange on Tuesdays and Fridays only between 9 am – 3 pm. Additional towel exchanges can be arranged for a small fee.

Parking: Each unit is allowed 2 parking spaces. Each vehicle will need to visibly display their parking pass in the front windshield. Vehicles without valid passes are subject to towing. Boats, jet ski’s, trailers, etc. must be parked by the tennis courts on the north side of the lot. Should parking become limited, guest vehicles will take priority over recreational vehicles (boats, RVs, etc.)

Pets: Pets are not allowed at The Islander. This includes owners and guests.

Laundry: The Islander has a coin-operated laundry room located on the 2nd floor available to all of its guests.

Unit Assignment: A unit will be assigned to you when you make your reservation. The Islander strives to honor all unit requests, however, circumstances beyond our control make it impossible to guarantee unit assignments.

Non-smoking: All units at The Islander are non-smoking and violating this policy will result in an additional charge being assessed.
