Welcome to the Islander on Holiday Isle in Destin Florida

Islander Condo #208 is an East View, Silver Unit that sleeps up to 6 people. Avoid the elevators with easy access to the ground floor and parking lot via the stairs near the condo. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or your choice of two pools.

The kitchen has been updated with new cabinets, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, a Keurig, and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. Gather around the dining room table that seats 6 or relax in the living area with updated furniture to watch the 32” TV with DVD player and digital cable access. There is a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.

The master bedroom boasts new furniture with a king size bed, and a 32” TV. The guest bedroom has 2 new twin sized beds, and a 32” TV.

Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the east pass or one of the breathtaking sunsets an evening can offer.

"Really nice time in Destin, with rain, sun and even a connect with friends from TX. Nice time for sure. We were a bit disappointed in the shape of the furniture and the noise that came from other units nearby. No amenities like salt/pepper, extra toilet paper, coffee filters, etc. That was disappointing. But for a relatively cheap, easy, central location, this was pretty good. Destin is definitely a tourist trap, so plan on spending $$ away from the condo for sure.

"The unit needs some upgrades: carpet in the rooms is incredibly dirty. I would maybe switch to tile flooring or carpet that can be removed and washed. It completely gives the unit a bad look and bad smell. The curtain in the living room doesn’t close. It is broken. This allows a lot of light in, making it uncomfortable for anyone sleeping on the sofa. Everything else was good. Location was great and resort very clean.

"This is my 3rd stay at this Resort, but first stay at this unit. I usually stay at another unit, but I procrastinated and didn't get the time I originally wanted. Therefore, I looked on line. All in all no complaints. Just a suggestion for kings size pillows instead of standard size pillow on the bed. Bed wasnt' totally uncomfortable but I have a pillow top at home. Just a preference. Master Bathroom could use updating. There was no hair dryer on site, called and they brought up one. One day the coffee pot shot craps, they gave me a new one. The bathroom exhaust fan quit working the last day. I forgot to advise them of that when I left. All in all, the place was clean. I travel along and I didn't even use the hallway bath, living room or spare bedroom. Go there to sleep and eat breakfast or lunch and that was it. I love this location because it is so close to all the amenities in Destin!

"My family and I had a great experience staying at the Islander resort. Check-in was very easy and everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed that we were so close to the pool & beach. The unit was a older unit but very clean and provided tons of space. The view from the patio was a little obstructed by palm trees but you still could see the ocean very well. On Saturday night they showed a movie by the pool which we really enjoyed. The only issue was one of the two pools was closed the entire time we were there. Overall a great experience and would stay here again.

Islander - Unit 208

"We have been traveling to Destin for over 40 years. Holiday Isle and the Islander have always been a favorite of ours, especially when the kids were young. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the grounds and common areas are kept clean. It was the first time we rented Unit 208 and, to be honest, we would not rent this unit again unless attention was given to the bathrooms. Both baths are very worn and mold was detectable in both tubs/showers. Also, the carpet is quite worn and the bed linens were as well. The kitchen has been updated and is very nice. We spent most of our time on the beach which is absolutely gorgeous.

"Furniture is pretty, very uncomfortable to sleep on. Recommend plastic containers for guest who are traveling by air. Too many dishes in pantry area. Had no room for groceries. These are a few suggestions.

Great location and condo!

"This is the second time we have stayed in 208. Condo was clean, great location, close walk to the beach (across a parking lot driveway and over a bridge). Love the private access into the condo and onto the beach. Have always felt very safe and secure. The pool area is always clean with great chairs. Love that two beach chairs and an umbrella are included. Kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. Also appreciate having a few things on hand to get us started, ie paper towels, trash bags, TP. Condo staff have always been very friendly but we haven’t had any issues to address. My only suggestion (being picky) would be a new mattress in the master bedroom, bathroom updates, and a lighter/beach paint color to in the main living areas to lighten it up! Other than that, we always enjoy our stay at the Islander!

"My wife and I vacation to the gulf coast often. When looking to book I have a few items that are musts. The condo must be clean. It must be close to restaurants and attractions. There must be amenities. The islander checks all those boxes. Easy check in, clean rooms, nice pool, beach access with free beach chairs and umbrella. Couldn’t ask for more!

"This place is perfect for my family of 4. This unit is close to the stairs, main entrance, no need to wait for elevator. Unit has everything one would need for a week at the beach! We like the quiet location of The Islander, private beach access. A LOT of guests returning year after year and it's easy to see why.

"Convenient location, friendly staff, and great beach service!

"Cozy! you feel home as soon as you open the door. Clean and everything in place, peaceful, the apartment has everything you actually need. Almost Everything was perfect in the apartment and the service.

However, AT THE BEACH, the only thing we will change is that when you go to the beach, the chairs and umbrellas offer by the Condo are so near to the persons next to you that we could not even have a nice conversation without them to listen to everything. There were a family of four all adults who got there after us, and brought a speaker to play their music. Around them were five people reading including me and we all have to close our books. The peacefulness and the joy disappears. The umbrellas are placed in horseshoe shape and all the guests from the rentals are almost on top of each other. We went one day to the beach by the condo and, the second day we went to the beach after 6 pm and brought the chairs from the apartment and the next six days we went to another beach because of the reasons mentioned above.

We will ABSOLUTELY go back but definitely wont enjoy the crowd at the beach from 11am to 5 pm

"First time to Destin àfter much research decided on the islander and my unit 208 liked that islander was not on main strip and down toward the entrance to harbor. Islander staff was always very nice and grounds were very well kept. Pools were very nice and warm. With just a 75 yard walk you were on the beach sunning and enjoying you time. Beach was beautiful and the guys always had you a seat and umbrella which 2 are included with your room. My unit was clean with nice kitchen. Enjoyed the fact it had its own bathroom off the bedroom and bedroom had a ceiling fan to move the cool ac air around. Spent much time on balcony enjoying the sights and having happy hour. Would highly recommend this unit and place.
