Islander Condo #209 is an East View, Gold Unit that sleeps up to 6 people. Avoid the elevators with easy access to the ground floor and parking lot via the stairs near the condo. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or your choice of two pools.
The open kitchen has been updated with new cabinets, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances including a side by side refrigerator with icemaker and water in door, a Keurig, and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. Gather around the dining room table that seats 6 or relax in the living area with updated furniture to watch the 54” Roku TV with DVD player and digital cable access. There is a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.
The master bedroom boasts new furniture with a king size bed, and a 28” TV and a DVD player. The bathroom has a new updated vanity with double sinks and granite countertops, as well as a walk- in shower. The guest bedroom has a new queen set and an 18” TV. The guest bathroom has been updated with a new vanity and granite countertops.
Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the east pass or one of the breathtaking sunsets an evening can offer.

Overall great place to stay. The rental was clean and has a pretty good view of the gulf. Didn’t love the carpet stains and balcony door curtain hooks being broke and hanging crooked. However, the staff was very nice and the stay was pleasant!

My wife, two young kids, and I stayed in unit #209 in June 2021. The unit is conveniently located within the complex, with easy access to the beach, pools, and parking lots. We cooked most meals in the unit, and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials for preparing snacks or large meals. We had a great overall experience and hope to stay in unit #209 next year.

Condo was very tastefully decorated and very clean. The only issue was on the first night the entrance gate got stuck and we waited over an hour to get in. I finally walked through the pedestrian gate and ask the lady at the front desk if she could open the exit gate. She finally went out and pulled her vehicle up so that side would open. Our kids were very disappointed because they didn’t get to swim that night because it took so long to get in the pool closed. I do think the pool should stay open later.

We had not been to The Islander in 7 years. After our Orange Beach Vacation got cancelled due to Hurricane Sally, we decided to return to a place we had always vacationed at while our children were younger. The Islander did not disappoint and it felt like home. The staff is always helpful and kind. The grounds and pool are always kept up and clean. We had a wonderful week. Booking so late we did not have many units to choose from, but Unit 209 was well appointed and comfortable. The only complaint is the lighting in the master bath is way to dim and dark.

very clean, very nice. The pictures show exactly what you have. My one complaint, extremely small, is that the TV remotes didn't work on the ROKU TV so we were not able to utilize the Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.

The condo was very clean, but in need of overall maintenance. We had several small issues come up within the first few days ie, coffee maker broken, wall hanging fell from wall, electrical outlet loose in master bedroom, locking latch fell off of sliding door, DVD player worked inconsistently. Nothing serious and everyone had a great time!! Thank you!!

While I have no issue with the room itself, location or cleanliness my issue goes to management and staff.
This location was booked over 1 year ago for a beach wedding at sunset. Prior to the setup we were told the beach chairs would not be up and ready for the wedding as the management would not ask people to vacate the beach 30 minutes early. Upon asking to speak to management we were told the previous manager that booked the wedding had quit and their commitment would NOT be honored as well as the current manager had "called in sick" and would not be made available.
While the wedding did go off, it was late as well as after hours of disruption and aggravation.
In addition, the linens supplied for the reception were wrinkled and had to be ironed BY US prior to the wedding.
I do NOT suggest you hold a wedding at this venue.

Thank you for your feedback. The beach service does not remove chairs and umbrellas from any guests using them until 5:00 pm. This service is offered to all of our guests. The beach service will certainly suggest an area for your wedding coordinator to set up their chairs, etc. The last general manager was asked to leave and the current manager was not sick, but actually giving birth to her first child. Although we do offer tablecloths and chair covers when guests rent the Palm Room, we can guarantee them to be clean but not wrinkle free. Our manager Latoyia actually gave you guys a steamer to use. We love having weddings here at the Islander and welcome any and all families!

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend at the islander in unit 209. We were pleasantly surprised at the recent updates to the unit! The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms seemed to be all recently updated. Unit was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

Overall everything was great. We have stayed there before so we had an idea of how things would be. The difference this time was we didn't drive so getting to and from places was harder. We did shop at the local market several times for food and supplies. I asked the front desk to buy a few items from the islander so that I didn't waste things like trash bags, toilet paper but they said I couldn't do that. If you all can sell laundry detergent and dryer sheets having a few other things for sale would be so nice for those who came by airplane. She said you all used to have a small shop and I wish you still did. Also bike rentals would be a good addition as this could have saved using an uber for all of my trips. The only other thing was the bed pillows. They are not good. I had to ask for an extra one and it took a day and a half to get one. She gave me pillow cases so I could put throw pillows in and that helped but having at least 3 good pillows would have been better. The last thing would be cleaning, the condo was clean but we noticed behind the end table was fake eyelashes and trash from them. Just thought you would want to know maybe the cleaning people should sweep behind the tables and couch.
