This unit is well maintained. Loved the master bathroom with walk-in shower. Kitchen well stocked with pots and pans. Very nice view. Staff excellent! Always there to answer questions and to help. Pool very nice and heated.

Good Trip 2022-07-29

Overall, very pleasant stay. Everything was as described and clean. The king bed is two beds on one frame and one side is a little higher than the other which makes no difference if you stay on your side. We did have one incident where when everyone was taking a shower at the same time, there was an awful smell in both of the bathrooms. I think that might be a building issue and not a individual unit issue. The view was nice. The pool was very close. I was worried a bit about the walk to the beach because some reviews stated it was a long walk to the beach but it wasn’t. The beach is right there. I didn’t like how the beach chairs and umbrellas were set up. It was crowded in and you were right on top of someone else and the view wasn’t that great but I would definitely stay here again. The good significantly outweighs the little hiccups we had.

I highly recommend the Islander and condo 215. Check in process was easy, the condo was clean and well decorated. The beach and beach chairs were great. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, relaxing and comfortable 2021-11-07

The condo is located close to some of the best restaurants in the area - particularly Louisiana Lagniappe. The beach is a short walk down and complimentary pair of chair and umbrellas is a big plus during the regular beach season. All of the furniture in the unit was in great shape and very comfortable.

Such a Relaxing Vacay 2021-05-14

First the condo is beautifully decorated and the colors just provide a relaxing atmosphere. Second they have thought of everything you could need while staying there to cook and have a fun time. The only things we had to bring were drinks and food. The master bed was super comfy and the shower was so spacious. The walk to the beach was not bad and then the beach itself cannot be described. My favorite thing was getting to drink coffee on the porch because it had a great view of a little bay area and the ocean past wonderfully colored beach houses. This place is well priced for what you are getting and we will be staying here again.

Beautiful Condo exceeded our expectations 2021-03-24

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The Islander is very well maintained and clean. Unit 215 was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The only "complaint" I have is to let families with small children know that there is no way to lock the front door from inside the unit. It is lockable and safe from outside but small children are able to just open the door and essentially walk out (and get locked out in the process) so that was something we would have like to know ahead of time so we could have been better prepared. It was a bit nerve-wracking to take a shower, or close our master bedroom door at night without fear that our small children sleeping in the front bedroom (next to the front door) could get confused, and accidentally walk right out. We placed barstools in front of the door but it was still something we would have liked to know before arrival. Other than that, it was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The pool view was fantastic so my older children could go enjoy themselves and still be in our sight. We loved going into "town" and visiting all the shops/restaurants. The Boardwalk is a must! We will certainly be back again soon!

winter 2019 at the islander 2019-03-31

This was our ninth winter at the Islander. We can't give enough accolades to the wonderful staff, management, and the common grounds. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The grounds are very well maintained, and improvements are well received. This was our first winter in Unit 215. We felt it did not meet up to the expectation we had expected from a unit rated "Gold". We did appreciate the new kitchen appliances and the comfortable living room furniture, but the bathrooms were in dire need of remodel/repairs as was the kitchen counters and cabinets. I think this unit was misjudged for the Gold standard.

Great choice for condo and easy beach access 2018-09-19

Very clean, tasteful, and spacious unit. We would recommend to others and choose Unit 215 again. Overall, the property was as photographed and advertised. It is really an very short minute or two walk to be on the sand. The property is at the far end of the most the beachfront properties, so an additional 4 minute stroll up the beach toward the jetty and you will have the beach to yourself. Worth noting that there is not really any restaurants or stores in walking distance, but the positive trade off is that the property is very private, safe, and gated like everything else on that road. Good price for a comfy condo with easy beach access.

Loved our stay at the Islander in Destin. Check in was great. Received gate codes before arrival so we didn’t have to wait to get in. Location was in a great location with local shops and attractions within a short distance. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The unit it self was beautifully furnished and clean. One of the best condos I’ve been to. Will definitely stay again.

STRESSFUL MONTH 2017-12-17

Stressful month. Know one told us that the Island was getting a facelift. The whole month(30 days stay) was very stressful, noise, noise and getting woke up almost every morning at 7AM.

Molded bathroom but great otherwise 2017-08-15

The location is great, staff was wonderful and helpful especially Christina. I was very disappointed with the molded bathtub. I sent pictures and was assured it would be taken care of but it should have been taken care if before we checked in.

Nice condo. If you are not looking for granite tops, latest in decor and updates, but a good condo. this is the one. The view from the outside balcony is of green space/grass with side view of pool area and bbq/covered area beyond the grass. No issues (only minor) with the unit itself, not enough to deter me from asking for the unit again. All other guests i met were nice and the folks at the main desk are very helpful, courteous, etc.
