Islander Condo #311 is a West View, Gold Unit that sleeps up to 6 people. Avoid the elevators with easy access to the ground floor and parking lot via the stairs near the condo. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or your choice of two pools.
The kitchen is recently renovated with new cabinets and granite countertops, and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs Gather around the dining room table that seats 6, or relax in the living area on updated furniture to watch the 48” TV with DVD/VCR combo and digital cable access. There is a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.
The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, and a 24” TV/ DVD Combo. The bathroom has a new vanity with double sinks and granite countertops and a tub/ shower combo. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a 24” TV/ DVD Combo. The guest bathroom has a new vanity with granite countertops and a tub/ shower combo.
Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the east pass or one of the breathtaking sunsets an evening can offer.

Had absolutely no issues in this update unit. The building was well maintained, everyone was very friendly and it was great that they provided free use of pickleball, tennis, beach toys, and pool toys!

The rental was nice. Had 2 pools which was a plus. The walk to the beach was very short and it was a private beach so we enjoyed that. The condo had plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids. The condo had some minor defects but that just comes with rentals I think. Overall the experience was very nice and we enjoyed the stay.

My family and I had a great first time stay at the Islander. The condo was beautiful and well maintained. There were ample of towels for the four of us. Just a few minor issues that need to be addressed. 1. The master bathroom shower head had little pressure. 2. Rinse your dishes completely as the dishwasher does not clean off film left from food. 3. BRING YOUR OWN FIRST AID KIT! My son had a horrible mishap and ended up cutting his hand pretty bad, almost needing stitches. (I know this because my cousin is a NP) I didn't have anything and the front desk was not helpful with the issue either. 4. I received check out information in my email the day we checked out. There was also check out info posted by the front door, but it was not updated to match what was emailed. Being we had a very long drive I did everything, on the list posted, the night before because we were leaving first thing in the morning, 6 am. All in all it was a great stay. We are even talking about making it an annual trip. Side note: Brutellas had fantastic food. A little pricey, but both times we went there was no wait. If you like shrimp and grits, theirs was award wining. My husband was shocked that I finished it as I am not a big eater, but it was AMAZING!!

Check-in was quick and easy. The carts available for baggage or food after a quick grocery trip for the weeks food are awesome. The condo was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The private beach is a quick 3-5 minute walk from your room. The only negative mark was the shower heads, as I didn't think they put out enough pressure. Overall I would visit again and recommend.

I have been coming to Destin and The Islander for several years now, but this was my first time earlier in the year. And as alway, I was not disappointed. The condo was tastefully decorated and clean. Everything I needed was available. I was happy to see the beach had been „restored“. As in previous years, the grounds, pool, and building were in excellent shape and clean.
I will keep recommending The Islander to friends, and I will keep coming back. Hopefully, this Fall.

I was told by several friends that this place is the only one they go to. I see why now. We had a great stay and Allen of course was wonderful. Everybody was really accommodating. Very clean and well kept condo. GREAT PLACE!

Very clean condo. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard. If you like hard beds then you will love this one. The unit only had one wash cloth we had to go down and request more. Had plenty of hand and bath towels. Easy access to the beach. Very short walk. Great location near town. Easy check in and out. Beach service is a plus with this unit. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed our time in Destin.

We normally enjoy our stay. The condo was acceptable. There were several maintenance issues reported. Biggest concern is the drinking if alcohol in the pool by other guest. This is dangerous and in my opinion unacceptable. This restricted our use of the facilities as we had to plan around it.

Despite rain at some time each day we were there, we had a great time at The Islander. However room 311 does need some help. Toilet paper hanger in master bedroom needs to be refastened. The sink plunger in the guest bathroom doesn't work properly. Furniture needs to be upgraded. Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Condo 311 was great. It could use some updates, but this didn't ruin our vacation. Our garbage disposal and ice machine in the fridge were not working, but the staff fixed them both as soon as we told them. The Islander was in a great location and the staff was friendly and always helpful. No complaints here! We had a great time!

We have stayed at the Islander several times, the last time being 6 years ago. The weather which was out of your control was not the best. Our biggest complaint was the beach area. Because of the way the chairs and umbrellas are set up, it does not leave much room for your own chairs and items. Most people do not like setting up in the middle of the arch shape and with the curvature of the shoreline there was not much room. Guests were rude...moving your things, setting up their things inches in front of your own things even though my things had been set up since early morning. These same guests would smoke blowing the foul smell back into our family setup. After the first day we ended up going to Henderson State Beach Park. It was worth paying the $6 for a clean, flat beach where you could spread out and actually see the ocean which is why we drove 900 miles in the first place. Also, we complained at the desk that we were smelling a stale smoke smell in our condo unit, either it was coming from the units above or below us. We couldn't enjoy our balcony because the smell was so strong. The pedestrian gate was broken and lacked safety. The room itself was clean and the management at the desk and the staff were extremely nice. If we come back to Destin we would probably pick a place closer to the ocean/beach.
