This beach front vacation condo rental is located in Destin Florida along the Emerald Coast. Condo rental #406 is graded GOLD. This unit accommodates up to 6 people with a king in the master bedroom 32" TV, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom 24" TV, and a sleeper sofa in the living room 43" TV. This unit has tile/hardwood flooring throughout the condo. Destin's Beach is just steps away with a beautiful view from your private balcony. All units are non-smoking.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. New granite and appliances were installed in September 2019.
The master bedroom has a new bedspread and new plantation shutters. The guest bedroom also has new bedspreads and plantation shutters. There is also new framed decor and fresh painted walls and trim throughout. Tile/Hardwood(New) floors throughout the unit. All rooms have new flat screen TVs.
Both the master bathroom and guest bathroom have been redone with new cabinets, granite counter tops, fresh paint and shower curtains in 2018.

I love Destin in October. This is my 2nd year renting this unit. I like the beach decor and kitchen is stock well. The downside is the bathroom in the main area has broke 2 yrs in a roll. When asked for Maintenance at 7a.m. I was told they had other duties they had to attend to first. Unfortunately the master suite was occupied and that bathroom was not available. We manage to get it flushed later that day and maintenance never showed up. The morning we left at 4 a.m. it stopped working again. I think they need to replace the toilet. Other than that, we loved the place. Next year we will probably opt for another unit. The new grills in the pavilion area was a nice surprise to our group cookout.

I will be returning next summer, maybe even this summer again. Although the staff always seemed to busy and annoyed when asked a question...one of the elevators was broken half the time, when fixed still didn't seem safe to ride in. Condo was nice, I highly recommend spending the extra and getting one that is fully updated.. their owners just seem to better know the needs of the renter and are willing to keep those things on hand. Each year I come I always seem to meet so many nice families from all over in all stages of life.. I look forward to coming again .

We usually stay in Sandestin, but decided to try a new area. This was our first time at the Islander, but it DEFINITELY won’t be our last. Our unit had a perfect view of the ocean, and the beach was very easy to access, and the pools were great. The front desk staff were all great and very helpful. My granddaughters thought it was one of our best vacations ever. The only issue with the unit was a running toilet in the quest bath...easy fix.

Our rental was a great experience. Although the televisions could have been a little bigger the overall unit itself was very clean and accommodating.

Destin as well as The Islander has always felt like our home away from home! The property was beautiful and immaculate!!! We notice everyday the cleaning of the pool. Our condo was very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. The decor was very nice, looked new and comfortable, not to mention THE VIEW!!!! The jetty is just down from the condo which our son loved fishing from!!! Love this Condo, love the property, love THE ISLANDER!!!!!!

Long weekend. We are previous owners and love the Islander. Have stayed there many times. We were a bit disappointed in a couple of things this time. Unit was clean however there were several places where new paint was put on poorly. Didn't even cover the wall. Just looked shoddy. There were two paintings missing on the walls. The light bulb was out in the guest bedroom so it was fairly dark. Had to wait a day to get another one. They should have the at the front desk! The blanket for the pull out sofa in this unit and in the last one we stayed in was so old and scratchy that you couldn't put it up against your skin. Ridiculous for the price of a blanket at Walmart! 3 days, 6 people, 1 roll of toilet paper? The grills are in horrible shape and that's a really big deal if you plan to grill your dinner! The islander is a wonderful place but these problems just bring the facility down. It doesn't seem that it would take much to give the place a "quality" feel, but it certainly doesn't take much for it to feel mediocre! The pool and bathrooms were kept well. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had such a great stay on our first visit to Destin and will certainly be back. The place had everything we needed and was just as described. The kids made use of the heated pool and we were able to walk to the beach within minutes and see our spot from the balcony of our room. Definitely recommend!!!

Condo was in good shape, the improvements should be: direction for switching the TV back and forth from Netflix to regular tv. Kitchen needs a cutting board. Toilet in common area needs new guts in it, it's hanging up. Other than that, the condo and it's ocean view is awesome. I like the blues and ocean scene pictures. It would have been ice to have a pool bar and snack bar.

We had a very relaxing family vacation. My only suggestions would be to have a change machine in the laundry room, have a vending machine for laundry supplies and have an ice machine on premises.

Initially, we stayed here for the price. The view was amazing and the location couldn’t be beat. The kitchen was stocked with everything we’d ever need. The only downfall for me was the bedding. The master had just a very thin sheet and quilt. Next time I’ll bring my own comforter or blanket because I froze at night.

We had a wonderful stay at the Islander. Condo 406 was super clean, the decor was beautifully done with all beach themed pieces. Very spacious and comfortable. The balcony and view were the BEST! The pictures do it no justice!!! From check in to check out we were pleased with everything at the Islander. The grounds were well maintained, easy path to walk to the beach, having chairs and an umbrella set up for us was a huge plus that we will never go without again!

Unit 406 was disappointing. We actually left a night early because the beds were so incredibly uncomfortable. Several of the door handles stick. Unit also has no ceiling fans. This unit rents as a “Gold” but is deserving of a “Bronze” status.

Honestly I never do reviews, but seem to feed off others always for a great place to stay. With that being said I felt I should on this one. It was absolutely perfect for us. The view is awesome. The condo has everything you need & clean. We WILL be back. The discounts we go for other attractions was well worth it. Also beach chairs with our stay.

Me and my husband went down for a week and we loved the island resort!! The rooms were clean, the staff are top quality and everyone was very helpful, and the beach was something out of a movie. We loved every minute of it from walking the beach in the morning to hanging out by the pool. We will be going back and totally recommend it to everyone. Thank you for being awesome!

My wife and I have been vacationing in Destin for the last 25 years. This trip included my daughter and three grandsons. Destin's beach was great as usual and we had a fantastic time. The Islander was great as well. Unit 406 was not in great shape and is in desperate need of some upgrades. Ice machine is weak. Blender might be able to scramble some eggs. Cooking utensils, pots and pans are sub-par. Coffee pot was broken. WiFi was not working (router malfunction). We were able to use a different unit's WiFi.

The condo was clean. Some bath towels looked dingy. May need to replace or clean the dingy green chair. Hot water would run out in the shower even though there was just the two of us using water in this unit. Did not like that we could not lower the temperature with the A/C below 69 as it was a little warm at night. Provided with needed kitchen items even though a drawer in the kitchen is broken. The tv in living room needs a guide on how to use the channels and the tv in the bedroom is way too small. Just not really thinking that this unit should be classified as a Silver unit.

This was our first stay at the Islander. We've stayed at other places in Destin and even Holiday Isle that weren't near as nice but were more expensive. The property and room were both extremely clean and well maintained. The location was great! Convenient to everything Destin has to offer. The beach is clean and beautiful. The views from the balcony and inside the living room are the best! The pools and hot tub were very clean and warm ( thankfully because it was still cool weather when we were there). The "freebies" and discounts to activities and places to eat was a great bonus. Free beach chairs!! Very kid friendly. Kids played basketball, swam, tennis, and they even had organized activities on certain days in their Palm Room. Check in and check out were very quick and simple. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well supplied with items to cook if you chose to eat in the room. Laundry room is conveniently location right around from the elevator on the second floor. Lots of parking. The only slightly negative I can think of was the mattresses could use either replacing or a topper. All in all this is a great condo and an awesome place to stay. We plan to return!
