Islander Condo #511 is a West View, Gold Unit that sleeps up to 6 people with a private balcony view of Fireworks from Harbor Walk Village during the summer. Avoid the elevators with easy access to the ground floor and parking lot via the stairs near the condo. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or your choice of two pools.
The kitchen is recently renovated with granite countertops and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. Gather around the dining room table that seats 6 or relax in the living area on updated furniture to watch the 55” TV with a DVD Player and digital cable access. There is a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.
The updated master bedroom boasts a king size bed, and a 36” TV and DVD Player. The bathroom has large vanity with a tub/ shower. The guest bedroom has 2 new, twin sized beds, as well as a 24” TV with a DVD player. The guest bathroom a tub/ shower combo.
Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the east pass or one of the breathtaking sunsets an evening can offer.

room 511 has recently had an update to furniture. Have stayed at islander for 14 years, this was my third time in this room. It looks lovely! Kitchen has basic necessities. Could use mixing bowls and more utensils. over all a wonderful stay as always

We liked the beach access! Unit was clean. Master bathroom sink kept stopping up.Iron needs to be replaced it is broke. We were told trash chute was only on 2nd and 3rd floors, but it was one on the 5th floor where our unit was. It would have been nice if both pools were open at 8 am, one pool didn't open until 10 AM. Very near to shops, restaurants and activities.

The property & location were as described. We loved our view from the west side and as shown in the description. The Islander property itself and the unit were clean & maintained. It was just a short walk around the pool & tennis courts to get to the beach. We came at the end of Dec and were driving in a car, so it would have been nice to have beach chair services. They have a nice gazebo/covered shelter area where you can grill/eat. The front desk were helpful. The pull out sofa was comfortable enough for a sleeper sofa but I wish that units would provide a memory foam pad to place on top for added comfort. The neighborhood was nice. I would recommend this property and stay there again. We talked to "snowbirds" who have been coming there for years and they enjoy their stay there as well.

we have stayed at the islander for 12 years. it has always met our expectations. we cook and eat a lot of our meals in the room, kitchen could use a few more dishes. but other than that room was clean. we were able to check in early. front desk staff was amazing, very friendly.

It was just a little vacation getaway for my son for his 16th birthday. It condo was very clean and a great location for the beach and other excursions. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect. Real close to the harbor walk but yet being across the water it was still quiet and we couldn’t hear any noise from the harbor walk or 98. The view was great! We had multiple views of the gulf. The lights of the pool at night were really neat too. My biggest complaint is that no matter what the AC was set at it always felt humid in the condo which made it near impossibly for our wet suits and wet towels to dry. Overall the condo was nice, inviting, comfortable, and had all that we needed :)

This condo was very nice and clean when we arrived. The views were great and we loved being right on the beach. Close to Target and restaurants. Also the beach service was a great added bonus. Will definitely stay here again if we go back to the area.

We love the Islander and have been coming the week of Thanksgiving, for the past 12 years. The front desk workers are always friendly and helpful and we always stay in condo 511. The owners are always doing something to update their condo, whether it's fresh paint or new furniture or updating the flooring or bathroom. Importantly, it's always clean. We are right at the beach and the Islander is tucked away from all the main traffic, but just 3 minutes to places like Target...if you need snacks, beach toys, or whatever. We treasure our family time together at the Islander and that's why we keep coming back!

This was our second time staying at the Islander and in the same unit. The unit has been updated new flooring and carpet in bedrooms. New furniture and sliding doors n showers. Has a perfect view of the bay. Plenty of room and all the amenities. We could sit on the baloney see the pool and the fireworks at night. We plan on staying here every summer if we are able. Also have 2 beach chairs and umbrella complementary is awesome. Perfect place for my Mom, myself and 3 teenager girls.

This is our go to family getaway destination for many years. Simply put why would you stay anywhere other the the Islander at Destin. First off super friendly helpful staff. The entire properties are spotless and beautifully landscaped. With great amenities from two pools to two hot tubs,tennis courts, basketball courts and who could forget shuffle board. The rooms are spacious and each decorated independently so no cookie cutter hotel feeling. And the beach service from Alan is beyond perfect and personalized. Simply put no better place to stay in fact you will never want to leave.

I have stayed in this Unit for three years. It is somewhat dated although new flooring in the kitchen, living, dining rooms and carpeting in the bedrooms has been installed. The couch and loveseat in the kiving room are new but are uncomfortable and there is a new comforter in the Master bedroom and pillows but no bedskirt. The kitchen cabinets are old and one has holes in the bottom shelf. The refrigerator has a crack in the bottom of the freezer. The bathroom vanity is very low in the Master bath. The grout in the shower is stained back in spots as is the popcorn ceiling above.

We've stayed at the Islander the past 10 years Thanksgiving week, always at 511. Everytime we come, they seem to update the unit with something new. This year was new living room furniture and shower doors in bathrooms. The unit is always clean and provides basic kitchen needs...dinnerware, pots/pans, small appliances. We had a few blown out lightbulbs, but let the office know and they took care of. It's great!

We appreciated how clean the condo was and gave an ambiance of comfort and accommodating for 3 adults. The rooms are spacious and separate provides privacy for couples. Everything about the condo was on point from cozy pillows to sitting area on balcony. We lounged in the dinning area, living room and balcony comfortably discussing our plans. Condo is a short walk from the elevators. We were impressed the resorts offers a full-size shopping cart to carry luggage and shopping bags to condo. Great staff and customer service! Will absolutely stay here again!

It’s my third year visiting Destin and all three time I was rented a condo from the islander ,I don’t have any interest in looking for an other place if I had to mention a con it would be that it isn’t pet friendly

The rental property is nice and clean. The view is very nice also. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach! Very friendly staff. The beds aren’t very comfortable but I can sleep on anything so it’s ok. We really suggest the owner to upgrade cooking ware. All the pots and pans are super sticking! I spend good amount of time just cleaning them lol. Also the plastic spatula is super cheap

This was my 2nd year at the Islander and I extended my stay for 2 weeks. The staff is very friendly, responsive and helpful. The common facilities well kept. It did not appear that condo 511 has been cleaned thoroughly before my arrival, so I asked that it be cleaned again. (Small appliances dirty, shower tiles moldy, wad of hair in master bathroom toilet that I had to remove by hand, etc)The general appearance of the condo had declined over the year (Carpeting, drapes and furniture stained, furniture upholstery frayed. Blankets stained. Decorative pillows stained and have a unpleasant odor.) Plastic coating on closet shelves hadn’t been dusted in so long it has a sticky coating on it. Ice maker in refrigerator stopped working for a week. Cabinet shelves detiorating.

we have stayed in this rental for 5 years now, and it never disappoints. it is absolutely perfect for those that like to spend all their time at the beach. There isn't much in the kitchen to cook with, but has all the basic necessities. room is clean and perfect for a family of 5. I hope to see this room for years to come! there was even construction going on and did not disturb us one bit

This was our third time staying at the Islander, and first time in this unit. The Islander is in a perfect location to enjoy the beach and all that the area has to offer. The pools were great, especially once Tropical Storm Cindy rolled in and made the Gulf too dangerous for swimming. It was disappointing that this unit had carpeting, it needs ceramic tile. Coming in sandy from the beach made the carpet gross. The living room decor was dated and uncomfortable. Needs updating. The parking lot entrance gate was not working while we were there, and was open the whole time. The kids club events were a nice addition, especially on the storm days when the beach was closed.

The whole process was very easy from start to finish. I booked straight from the website and everything was clearly laid out and when we checked in everything was explained clearly. The unit was clean and comfortable and the laundry exchange was easy. The until had everything we needed but a non stick pan would have been nice because the pan they had was terrible for getting things stuck to it!

The condo was very nice and had everything we needed. The complex was quiet and the front desk helpful. Close to the wedding venue. Needed some new bed pillows, but great place and a good price.
