This beach front vacation condo rental is located in Destin Florida along the Emerald Coast. Condo rental #701 accommodates up to 6 people with a king White Coastal Platform Bedset in the master bedroom 32' TV, Queen White Coastal bed in the guest bedroom , and a sleeper sofa in the living room 42' TV. This unit has tile throughout with carpet in both bedrooms. Destin's Beach is just steps away with a beautiful view from your private balcony. All units are non-smoking.

This was my 4th summer vacation at the Islander. I had become a VIP loyalty member as I loved staying there the past few summers. I loved staying in unit 701 which was always very nice, clean and updated and has a wonderful view of the ocean. The beach service was always tops. Staff are friendly and helpful. My only disapointment this time was the huge 25% increase of renting the same property for September 2023. I was told at check out, the equivalent of almost double rate for September 2023. I decided not to reserve and put down my deposit. I can understand a 5% increase but I was told 25% and what my total would be. I was shocked. Sad to say but I will now be looking for a different condo location

We have stayed at The islander for several years in a row. We've almost always had an excellent experience. The view is excellent, but I wouldn't consider it a platinum rental. It has been updated, but not up to the standards of many of the other units we've stayed in. Some of the fixtures were very old and starting to rust, the fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen worked part of the time, I had maintenance come up to service it and it was still on the blink. The stove and refrigerator were just basic low level appliances. There was a lot of dirt dust in the louvered door to the AC unit. We had an issue with cockroaches in this unit.

We love coming to The Islander, and we had an excellent time. Our unit #701, had a few issues, and it would have been nice to know about them ahead of time so we could prepare better. One of the stove burners didn't work (front left). The dishwasher wasn't working (maintenance was waiting on a part), and the left sink in the master bathroom was clogged and couldn't be used.
Love the new pickleball courts, and the whole family had a good time playing. Alan was excellent
as always, as was the rest of the staff.

Loved staying at The Islander. This is our 7th time staying here, and every time is great. We love the two chairs and an umbrella. And how everything is close by, including the beach! This year is the longest we have stayed and we will be coming back next year .

We have stayed at the Islander for 30 years. We were very disappointed at some of the behavior that was allowed at the pool area. The Islander has always been family friendly but it wasn’t when we were there. Music full of profanity and dirty dancing was going on. We had to keep our young children away from the balcony.

Unit 701 was the best yet for lodging and everything you could ask for in amenities. Super clean and updated kitchen, bedrooms, baths and the most wonderful view from the veranda. End unit is quiet and being on the top floor there was NO noise from other guest condo renters. I highly recommend staying at the Islander. The staff are friendly and always happy to assist you, the private beach area for guest is very nice with easy gated access. This is my 3rd consecutive vacation here and I’ve not been disappointed.

Our vacation experience at The Islander was excellent. Outside of one of the elevators being out-of-service intermittantly, which caused delays in the lobby for those needing access, no complaints noted! The staff was very friendly and attended to our requests in a timely manner.

I have stayed at the Islander for 13+years and this was the first time I was disappointed. We watched people come in and out of the gate to the beach from across the street... use the pool and hot tub...
