This unit has recently been updated, new mattress and beach decor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the guest bedroom has 2 twins and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room. You are just a few steps away from the white sands of Destin. Hope your vacation is filled with good weather and even greater memories. You will be happier than a sea gull with a french fry in unit 717.

We had a great time in Unit 717. It was clean, great size and location. It was decorated so cute. I love coastal decor when on vacation at the beach. We had everything we needed and we were close enough to all the restaurants and stores. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

The unit was great as always we have never had a problem with the unit. We have been staying with the islander for 5 years and 4 of the last 5 year has been in the same unit!(firat year was unit 514 last 4 years was unit 717). 717 is a great view of sunset and a little water plus its over looking the lake! Owners in 717 care about the guest and the unit is always EXACTLY
as i remember, never disappointed!
This past stay we had an issue with the staff. Not very well trained new staff and the upper management seem a little too comfortable in her position and doesn't want to respect the option or have a genuine conversation with a long time guess when they actually have an issue. [Let me add the lady that does the art work with the kids is amazing and has always been amazing and is so very patient] We had our first issue ever this last time and had to speak with the manager and it was like putting teeth to get her off her butt and out of her office. In 5 years I have never seen her face before but she has been with them for 10 plus years. Needless to say we will be staying elsewhere next year as I'm not ever going to deal with Kendall again!
We spent the last full day of our stay looking at other condos in the area and booked a place other then the Islander for next year as we were leaving on August the 21st.
If you do stay with the islander Alan is the gentleman that provides beach service he is a great guy and will help you out in anyway he can!

Nice everything was great. The space and the location view were the best. Thursday night firework from the balcony with some wine is amazing. Very quiet no problem with anyone everyone was friendly. The master bedroom bath is amazing. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was laid out neatly in the kitchen. If you travel with family, I loved the Grill area with the gazebo and most of the live DJs at the pool just need more music.

We reluctantly stayed again this year after a 2 year hiatus. I swore last time I’d never come back. There was a new staff which was one this year. Both elevators were working. (Last 2 stays there they were not) The front desk staff was helpful and eager to please . Thankful you got this all straightened out.

We wanted to stay an extra night...WOW...the price went up on holiday weekend...ouch...UNTIL we saw THE VIEW from 717. Oh My! We now want 717 every visit. One problem... The chairs did not rock and swivel on the patio. That is what this old person wanted. BUT...did I mention THE VIEW?

The condo was exactly as pictured, clean, full of amenities, & close to the beach! The chairs and umbrella on the beach were so nice, just get there early to mark your spot with a towel! The pools and hot tubs were also very clean. We had a wonderful time.

Over all the property was in great condition and very well maintained.
My only issue is that they don't provide little things as in trash bags. As a traveler that came in an uber its hard to go back and forth to the store, so be prepared for a good grocery trip to retrieve all your stuff. Check in and check out was not as easy as claimed, my mother and sister came at a later time and no one was at the front desk, had to be tracked down. Maybe make it a little bit easier for people that's been traveling all day.
The main street had lots of things to do, just not close enough to walk.
The beach service was ok but had to hunt the guy down, after we sat in the wrong side.
This was my 1st time here so next time I know what I need to do.
I will travel again.

Clean property. Clean condo. Convenient to grocery and restaurants. We utilized the Islander VIP discounts at area merchants. Never had to wait long for an elevator and the facility was full. Parking lot was also easy and close to where we wanted to be in relation to our condo. Views of ocean and beach area were just as promised. We definitely will recommend and return to this resort.

It was nice and relaxing stay during the pandemic. We stayed last year in 714 and we enjoyed it and our stay this year in 717. I will say as Property Manager of a luxury property in Indiana I was expecting more of a routine cleaning. I did not once see the company cleaning the buttons in the elevators or door handles. Also there was one particular employee at the front desk that was rude, showed attitude/frustration. I understand this time is difficult but still providing great customer service is still important.

Everything was perfect the one thing that really got to me was when checking out we picked up all the trash and asked for some trash bags and the receptionists said we had to go buy some all that money we paid we couldn't get trash bags to pick up the trash in our condo

You get exactly what you see in the pictures and so much more. This was a worry free vacation and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The room was beautiful and had had everything that you needed. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The beach access was a short walk away and the service there was perfect. The condo was cleaned to perfection and overall made for a wonderful stay.

This was a ok condo. The view was wonderful but inside needs a little work. First off not all the electrical outlets worked and the stove when cooking on the stove top half of the burners didn’t work. The carpet also needs replacing. The money we had to spend for a week I was expecting better.

My wife and I had a great time at the Islander Resort. The Condo was very nice, with everything we needed for our stay. We loved walking to the beach everyday, then sitting in the jacuzzi tub at the resort, before going back to our unit, and seeing the sunset almost every evening !! The view was great from our unit, looking out over the nearby lake, and harbor inlet to watch the boats go in and out, plus the sunsets on the gulf were priceless. We are definitely coming back again in the future !!
