What is the Weather Like in Destin, Florida?

It’s probably evident that Florida has incredible weather all year long. That’s why so many people escape the cold conditions of home to enjoy the Florida sunshine! But is there one season that’s better to visit Destin than another?

Destin weather does certainly fluctuate from season to season, bringing new things to see and do all year long. Here’s a quick weather guide to help you plan your stay in our Destin beachfront condos

Spring Weather

In the spring, Destin comes alive. From March through May, the temperatures rise from the mid-60s to the low-80s. As Memorial Day Weekend approaches, it often already feels like summer! As far as rain, spring doesn’t see too much. There’s usually about a 30% chance of rain on any given day in the spring, which is relatively low as far as Destin is concerned. During the spring, you can spend your days exploring the beautiful museums of Destin, learning about local history, or strolling along the sands (though it might be a bit too cold to swim!).

Summer Weather

You can probably already guess that summer is the hottest month here in Destin. From June through August, high temperatures remain in the 80s. Even the low temperatures don’t usually get down below 70. While summer is the hottest month, it’s also the wettest. The chance of precipitation can range anywhere from 40% to 60%, depending on the day. Luckily, there aren’t a ton of thunderstorms; usually, the rain is just an afternoon shower to cool off the hot day. If you do visit in summer, you’ll have access to all kinds of things to do in Destin, both indoors and out. Enjoy the waters, walk in nature, explore local shops, and more.

Fall Weather

Things start to cool off a bit in the fall, but that doesn’t mean that the fun has to stop! Temperatures drop from the 80s down into the 70s in September and November. In the mornings and evenings, you may experience low temperatures down into the 50s. Rain chances are similar, if not a bit lower than in the spring, so you shouldn’t need an umbrella. During this season, you can leave your Destin beach condos to enjoy fun fall festivals or explore the numerous outdoor activities that Destin has to offer.
